Requirements
Mac
- Apple-silicon Mac running macOS 14 or newer;
- a supported AI provider selected by the user; and
- user-granted permissions for any optional Mac integrations.
iPhone and iPad
- iOS or iPadOS 17 or newer;
- the NativeAgent mobile app and a compatible NativeAgent Mac release;
- both devices using the intended Apple account with iCloud enabled; and
- the Mac running when chat, tools, memory, or actions are needed.
Pair a phone or tablet
- Launch NativeAgent on the Mac and complete onboarding.
- Open the Mac pairing surface for iPhone and iPad.
- Keep both devices signed into the intended Apple account with iCloud enabled.
- Launch NativeAgent on mobile and connect after the signed pairing material arrives.
- If iCloud propagation is delayed, use the manual pairing key shown by the Mac.
Treat the pairing key and QR code as secrets. Do not screenshot or share them.
Common problems
The phone says the Mac is offline
Keep NativeAgent running on the Mac, confirm iCloud is available on both devices, refresh mobile, and re-pair if the Mac pairing key changed. Pending work does not silently switch to another runtime.
A mobile action is waiting
The Mac must receive, verify, authorize, execute, and return a terminal receipt. Keep it running and resolve any approval shown there. Do not repeat a consequential action while its first receipt is pending.
Notifications do not appear
Enable NativeAgent notifications in iOS Settings, confirm pairing and Mac reachability, and review Focus, notification summary, lock-screen preview, and time-sensitive notification settings.
A provider or connector does not work
Reopen Providers or Connectors on the Mac, verify the credential and requested scope, and check the external service's availability and account limits.
A Mac permission is missing
Use Mac Integration in NativeAgent, then review System Settings → Privacy & Security. Apple grants Calendar, Reminders, Contacts, and other protected services separately.
Updates
Official direct-download Mac releases use the app's signed update feed when available. iPhone and iPad updates are delivered by the App Store or TestFlight.
Report a problem
Include the NativeAgent version, operating-system version, device model, affected surface, exact action, visible error, and whether an ordinary relaunch reproduces it. Redact support snapshots before sharing.
Open a support issue for ordinary bugs. Use a private security advisory for vulnerabilities or sensitive privacy matters.
Never post API keys, OAuth tokens, pairing keys, private prompts, personal files, or unredacted support archives.
Data removal and safety
Export work you want to keep before cleanup. Disconnect mobile pairing before deleting the mobile app. Quit the Mac app before removing its Application Support data or workspace. Remove iCloud, backup, provider, and connector records through the services that own them.
NativeAgent is provided under the MIT License without warranty. Keep backups, verify consequential outcomes, grant the least authority practical, and do not rely on it as the sole control for emergency, medical, legal, financial, or safety-critical decisions.
