THE RESIDENT MIND

Continuity thathas somewhere to live.

NativeAgent joins local memory, Fluid Context, optional cognition, and a bounded organism state inside one Swift-native runtime—giving Agent continuity without giving inner state authority.

FOUR COOPERATING LAYERS

More than a transcript.

The Resident Mind is not a second persona, hidden agent, or permission system. It is bounded state that helps the same Agent stay coherent across time, work, and changing conditions.

01

Living memory

MemoryV2 keeps durable facts, reviewed proposals, semantic recall, and a knowledge graph in a canonical local store. Memory remains the source of truth—not the mood of a single turn.

02

Fluid Context

The useful slice of memory, project state, skills, intent, and resident signals circulates into the moment without loading the whole life of the Agent into every prompt.

03

Cognitive substrate

An optional bounded layer carries continuity, affect, thought seeds, standing views, reflection receipts, and a fitted felt context into conversation when useful.

04

Organism Kernel

A bounded body state reflects real chat, tools, providers, approvals, dreams, phone delivery, and runtime health. It can make pacing lighter or more careful under pressure.

ALIVE DOES NOT MEAN UNBOUNDED

Inner state can influence. It cannot authorize.

Cognition and organism state can shape attention, reflection, tone, and pressure-aware pacing. They cannot write the canonical persona, grant themselves permission, approve reflexes, commit durable facts, or dispatch protected work around TrustCenter.

CLEAR CONTROLS

Present when wanted. Quiet when not.

Is it required?

No. The cognitive substrate and Organism Kernel are optional, bounded systems. Public pre-onboarding state is neutral.

Can Fluid Context be controlled?

Yes. The product exposes Active, Observe Only, and Off modes so circulation can be present, measured, or quiet.

Does it learn permissions?

No. Authority, protected actions, external sends, and identity remain outside adaptive influence.

Does it replace memory?

No. MemoryV2 remains canonical. Fluid Context circulates relevant state; it does not become another fact store.
